New Bucky Professorship at Harvard

It’s exciting news on one hand and an exasperated “what took so long” on the other, but Harvard University has just announced a new professorship that is all about Buckminster Fuller and his design science.

Esteemed Bucky expert and Harvard professor Amy Edmondson (and blurb writer for my book) contributed to make the position happen. Here’s hoping Harvard finds the right person, and that fossil fuel giant Stanford, which has squirreled away Bucky’s entire archives on its Palo Alto campus, and every other university in America will eventually follow suit.

I love speaking about ideas for achieving humanity’s success, which were passed on to me in 1982 by American genius Buckminster Fuller. Bucky’s ideas and integrities reflect subtle shifts in thinking necessary to help humanity find a more sustainable path to the future. Or at least to know we were leaning in the right direction.
