What was once a glacially slow moving issue has heated up to a critical point. Climate change must move to the front burner now.
It is long past time to evolve to a clean energy economy. The upcoming climate talks in Paris will be critical. President Obama has asked us again and again to demonstrate our political will.
We must wield our mighty keyboards and demand climate action now.
If we are to bring greenhouse gas emissions under control, about a million of us need to be shouting it from the rooftops, which today means posting it on Facebook, Twitter and emailing your friends.
Giving birth to a new clean energy economy would have been difficult in the best of circumstances. Our efforts are greatly complicated by the fact that the fossil fuel industry — and its global corporate army of so-called leaders — are desperately working to abort this necessary change. We must stop them from stopping us.
Humanity is capable of greatness. We are about to prove it. Please find the time, and the courage, to pop out a good post, email or rooftop shout about this issue soon. Bucky would be thrilled if you did.
